ÖV Bike Austria- flächendeckendes Bike Sharing Österreich

Projektbeschreibung

Das Projekt ÖV Bike Austria zielt auf die Entwicklung eines österreichweit flächendeckenden Bike-Sharing-Systems ab, welches an Haltestellen des Öffentlichen Verkehrs (ÖV) ansetzt, um die Attraktivität des ÖV zu erhöhen und ein nachhaltiges Angebot zur Überwindung der ersten und letzten Meile zu bieten. Bestehende Systeme werden in der Konzeption berücksichtigt. Die Ergebnisse umfassen ein Netz in verschiedenen Ausbaustufen, eine Abschätzung des Nutzungspotenzials und eine detaillierte Umsetzungsstrategie.

Zunächst wird eine umfassende Bestandsanalyse bestehender und geplanter Bike-Sharing-Systeme durchgeführt. Erfolgsfaktoren und Tarifmodelle werden in Workshops mit Betreiber:innen diskutiert und mit internationalen Erfolgsprojekten verglichen. Diese Analyse wird durch Forschungsergebnisse ergänzt.

Aufbauend darauf werden quantitative Kriterien erarbeitet, die auf Daten wie Haltestellenkategorien, ÖV-Güteklassen, Einwohnerdichte und Arbeitsplätzen basieren. Diese Kriterien ermöglichen die Ermittlung des theoretischen Nutzungspotenzials und die Priorisierung von Ausbaustufen.

Zuletzt wird das theoretischen Nutzungspotenzial anhand von Quell-Ziel-Relationen abgeleitet und Sharing-Stationen und deren Ausstattung definiert. Eine Kostenabschätzung und ein Stufenplan zur Implementierung folgen im letzten Arbeitspaket, um die Integration in bestehende Systeme und eine nachhaltige Finanzierung zu sichern.

Abstract

The project ÖV Bike Austria aims to develop a nationwide bike-sharing system that starts at public transport stops in order to increase the attractiveness of public transport and provide a sustainable service for covering the first and last mile. Existing systems are considered in the concept. The results include a network in various expansion stages, an assessment of the utilization potential and a detailed implementation strategy.

Firstly, a comprehensive analysis of existing and planned bike sharing systems will be carried out. Success factors and tariff models are discussed in workshops with operators and compared with successful international projects. This analysis is supplemented by research results.

Building on this, quantitative criteria will be developed based on data such as stop categories, public transport quality classes, population density and workplaces. These criteria make it possible to determine the theoretical utilization potential and prioritize expansion stages.

Finally, the theoretical utilization potential is converted into a forecast utilization potential. Sharing stations and their equipment are defined and source-destination relationships are taken into account. An estimate of the costs and a phased implementation plan will follow in the final work package in order to ensure integration into existing systems and sustainable financing.
