URBAN MENUS Circularity China: Resilient Circularity Optimizer for Urban Systems

Einseitige Entscheidungen ablehnen, Zusammenarbeit in produktiven Städten neu denken, Ressourcenverluste reduzieren: Basierend auf der Basisinnovation URBAN MENUs des österreichischen Leadpartners BUSarchitektur soll ein interaktiver Technologiekatalog zur Gestaltung resilienter regionaler Prozess-Systeme nach dem Symbioseprinzip entwickelt werden: URBAN MENUS Circularity – wird Vorschläge für symbiotische grüne Technologiekombinationen, 3D-Darstellungen von resilienten Stadtszenarien, die diese Technologien integrieren, und deren multisektorale Wirkungsanalyse unter Berücksichtigung aller Stakeholder (Öffentlichkeit, Industrie, Investoren etc.) liefern. Damit werden Grundlage für die ko-kreative Planung/Umsetzung und Entscheidungsfindung von zirkulären, produktiven Stadtvierteln, die ökologisch, wirtschaftlich und sozial auf die Bedürfnisse ihrer Gemeinden abgestimmt sind, geschaffen. Also: Eine Anleitung zur Optimierung von Masterplänen in Richtung Vollständigkeit und ein Monitoring-System, das sowohl für private als auch für öffentliche Sektoren anwendbar ist und langfristig auch für die Ableitung von Bezugspunkten zur Unterstützung von Kreislaufwirtschaftsorientierten Regularien darstellt.
Die Lösung soll dazu beitragen, die Kreislauf-Quote – bezugnehmend auf die österreichischen Zielsetzungen - um mindestens 18 % zu erhöhen und die Kosten für die Systemimplementierung um bis zu 60 % gegenüber dem Stand der Technik zu senken.

Ein interdisziplinäres Konsortium rund um die österreichische ganzheitliche Entwicklerin und Architektin Laura P. Spinadel und die chinesische ARTS Group, die als erste Green-Building-Design-Firma aus Suzhou gilt, kombinieren ihre Kompetenzen und beziehen weitere Forschungs- und KMU-Partner aus Österreich und China ein: Fachwissen im Bereich grünes Bauen und Technologie, Zirkularität und Symbioseforschung und Algorithmen zur Folgenabschätzung sowie grundlegende Technologien.
Um eine authentische, wissenschaftlich und wirtschaftlich erprobte Lösung zu liefern, sind Pilotprojekte in Jiangyin, Provinz Jiangsu, und Österreich, Region Weiz-Gleisdorf, geplant. In diesem Zuge werden auch ein Handbuch und Schulungen für die Übertragung der Erfolge auf andere Orte erstellt.
Das Projekt initiiert einen nachhaltigen, langfristigen F&E- und Wirtschaftsaustausch zwischen Jiangsu, Volksrepublik China, und Österreich auf der Basis von URBAN MENUS Circularity plus Planung, Coaching, Training, Umsetzungsaktivitäten, die ein Marktpotential in Millionenhöhe im Baubereich berühren, aber auch auf weitere verbundene Sektoren ausstrahlen.

Abstract

Refuse unilateral decisions, rethink cooperation in productive cities, reduce resource losses: An interactive technology catalogue based on state-of-the-art components to co-creatively design resilient regional process systems building on the symbiosis principle shall be developed – URBAN MENUS Circularity based on the basic innovation URBAN MENUs of the Austrian Lead partner BUSarchitektur.
It is to deliver suggestions for symbiotic green technology combinations, 3D-previews of resilient city scenarios integrating these technologies and their multi-sectoral impact analysis considering all stakeholders (public, industrial, investors etc.). The innovative tool thus delivers the basis for co-creative planning/implementation and decision-making of circular productive city districts matching the needs of their communities ecologically, economically and socially. Guidance is provided for optimizing master plans towards comprehensiveness and a monitoring system applicable to both the private and public sector and in the long run also a basis to derive reference points for assisting circular legislative measures.
The solution aims to contribute to boosting the circularity rate by at least 18 %, and cut system implementation costs by up to 60% compared to state-of-the-art methods.
An interdisciplinary consortium centering around the Austrian holistic developer and architect Laura P. Spinadel and Chinese ARTS Group, considered as first green building design company from Suzhou, offers its competencies, involving research and SME partners from Austria and China: Expertise in green construction and technology, circularity and symbiosis research and impact assessment algorithms as well as fundamental technologies from prior projects. To deliver an authentic, scientifically and economically proven solution, pilots in Jiangyin, Jiangsu Province and Austria (Weiz – Gleisdorf) are planned. In their course, a handbook and training for the transfer of successes to other places will also be created.
The project initiates a sustainable, long-term R&D and economic exchange between
Jiangsu, People’s Republic of China and Austria based on URBAN MENUS Circularity plus planning, coaching, training, implementation activities, touching a market potential worth millions of euros in construction but also reaching out to further attached sectors.
