Projektbeschreibung
Die zunehmende Schwerverkehrsbelastung auf vielen Abschnitten des österreichischen Autobahn- und Schnellstraßennetzes erfordert innovative Lösungen auch für den Straßenoberbau, speziell vor dem Hintergrund der Nachhaltigkeit im Bereich Bau, Erhaltung und Wiederverwendung.
In den letzten Jahren kam auf einigen Streckenabschnitten eine kombinierte Bauweise zum Einsatz, bei welcher auf eine Betondecke eine (dünne) Asphaltdeckschicht errichtet wurde. Die ersten Erfahrungen zeigen ein hohes Innovationspotential dieser Lösung im Bereich der Nachhaltigkeit.
Das Hauptziel von KOMBAS (Kombinierte Bauweise Beton - Asphalt) besteht in der Entwicklung und Bewertung der bautechnischen Anforderungen an die kombinierte Bauweise „Betondecke mit Asphaltdeckschicht“ sowie in der Bereitstellung eines umfassenden Leitfadens für die Bewertung und die praktische Umsetzung auf dem Straßennetz der ASFINAG. Dabei spielen die korrekte Auswahl der Baumaterialien (mit Schwerpunkt lärmmindernde Deckschichten), die optimale Zusammensetzung der geschichteten Konstruktion (Dimensionierung), der Schichtverbund, als auch die wirtschaftlich-ökologische Lebenszyklusbewertung vor dem Hintergrund der höchstmöglichen Verfügbarkeit der Strecken für die „Kunden des Straßennetzes“ eine entscheidende Rolle.
Abstract
The increasing heavy vehicle traffic on many road sections of the Austrian motorway and expressway network requires innovative pavement construction solutions with the main focus on sustainability in the field of construction, maintenance and recycling.
A combined pavement construction with cement concrete structure and a (thin) asphalt overlay has been applied on some road section in the last years, where this solution offers a high innovation potential from the sustainability point of view.
The main objective of KOMBAS (combined pavement construction cement concrete - asphalt) is the development and assessment of the requirements for this combined pavement construction with a cement concrete structure and an asphalt surface layer. KOMBAS brings into focus the construction specifications but also the delivery of a comprehensive guideline for the evaluation and practical application of this solution on the road network of ASFINAG. An essential part of this project is the selection of adequate construction materials (especially noise reducing surface layers), the optimum combination of layers from the pavement design point of view, the bonding between cement concrete and asphalt as well as the economical and ecological life-cycle-assessment (LCA) of the solution considering the highest possible availability on the road network for the Users.
