Projektbeschreibung

Abstract

Diversity, Equity and Inclusion (DEI) are becoming increasingly important drivers of innovation capacity and long-term business resilience. At the same time, many organizations still do not systematically leverage the potential of diverse perspectives, experiences, and backgrounds.

The motivation behind this project is to create an inclusive and innovation-oriented work environment that strengthens collaboration, increases employee engagement, and sustainably enhances the company's innovation capacity. Rather than treating DEI as a standalone topic, the project aims to establish it as an integral part of the company's culture, collaboration, and product development processes.

The objective of the project is to embed Diversity, Equity and Inclusion sustainably within the organization through structured competency development while actively leveraging the diversity of the workforce to drive innovation processes. The project consists of two complementary modules:

Modul 1: Better Future Skills
Building DEI competencies through accessible digital micro-learning formats covering topics such as unconscious bias, inclusive communication, team resilience, and the interaction between artificial intelligence and diversity. Gamification elements complement the learning experience by increasing motivation and participation.

Modul 2: Better Experience Scouts
Driving innovation through the systematic integration of diverse perspectives into ideation and product development processes. Employees actively contribute to developing new solutions through idea challenges, Design Thinking workshops, and user journey approaches.

The project's innovative character lies in combining DEI initiatives with innovation management. Instead of relying on traditional one-off training sessions, the project integrates continuous learning impulses, digital participation formats, and collaborative innovation methods. This creates a novel approach that combines cultural transformation, capability building, and innovation management within a single organizational development framework.

The project is expected to strengthen the long-term integration of DEI into the company's culture while simultaneously increasing its innovation capacity. The anticipated outcomes include:

* Increased awareness and competencies among employees regarding Diversity, Equity and Inclusion.
* Stronger cross-functional collaboration and improved knowledge exchange across teams.
* Higher employee participation in innovation and continuous improvement processes.
* Development of new ideas and solutions addressing current challenges such as accessibility, customer-centricity, and new business models.
* Improved employee satisfaction, stronger identification with the company, and increased employer attractiveness.
* Valuable insights into how DEI initiatives and participatory innovation formats contribute to fostering an innovation culture, strengthening team resilience, and supporting sustainable organizational development.

Overall, the project aims to demonstrate how Diversity, Equity and Inclusion can be strategically leveraged as a catalyst for innovation, employee engagement, and long-term business success.
