Projektbeschreibung
LiDAR Sensorik wird zukünftig von zentraler Bedeutung sein, um im Verbund mit Radar und Kameras robustes, autonomes Fahren zu ermöglichen. Bis zum heutigen Tag ist jedoch keine LiDAR Schlüsseltechnologie bekannt, die sich klar aus der Vielzahl an potentiellen Technologien hervorhebt, um ein weitreichendes, robustes und vor allem wettbewerbsfähiges LiDAR Sensorsystem zu ermöglichen. Das zentrale Ziel von LiDcAR ist daher diese LiDAR Schlüsseltechnologie zu identifizieren und somit den langfristigen Weg für ein zukünftige LiDAR Sensorprodukt – made in Austria – zu ebnen. Über laborgestützte Technologieevaluierungen, Realisierung experimenteller Prototypen, LiDAR Metrologie Entwicklung, sowie reproduzierbare und realitätsnahe Tests in der ALP.Lab Testregion wird dieses herausfordernde Ziel erreicht. Ferner wird Fokus darauf gelegt, Synergien für ALP.Lab und das Konsortium zu identifizieren und diese gemeinsam zu stärken.
Abstract
In future, LiDAR sensors will be crucial, in conjunction with Radar and cameras, to enable robust autonomous driving. Although there are several LiDAR technologies known that compete against each other, there is no technology leading the market as a future automotive-qualified, long-rang, low-cost LiDAR solution. Therefore, LiDcAR’s main objective is the identification of the leading key LiDAR technology that will pave the way for the future LiDAR product – made in Austria. This will be achieved by performing lab-based technology evaluations, realization of experimental prototypes, LiDAR metrology development, and execution of extensive and reproducible in-field tests in the ALP.Lab test region. Furthermore, a strong focus is put on the identification and strengthening of synergies between ALP.Lab and the project consortium.
