Projektbeschreibung
Das Forschungsfeld der Stiftungsprofessur adressiert das Thema "Human Centered Cyber Physical Production and Assembly Systems" mit Fokus auf die Forschung und Entwicklung der Interoperabilität von "Technologie", "Mensch" und "Organisation“. Entsprechende For-schungs- und Lehraktivitäten in diesem multidisziplinären Kontext sind in Österreich und im CEE-Raum einzigartig. Auch unter Berücksichtigung des Demografischen Wandels und dem damit verbunden Risiko eines Rückgangs des Wirtschaftswachstums ist eine humanzentrier-te, alters- und alternsgerechte Arbeitssystemgestaltung mittels modernster Informations- und Kommunikationstechnologien, sowohl für den österreichischen Forschungs- als auch Wirt-schaftsstandort unabdingbar. Die vorgeschlagene Stiftungsprofessur wird durch qualitativ hochwertige Forschung und Lehre sowie durch intensive Zusammenarbeit zwischen Wis-senschaft und Wirtschaft zu innovativen Lösungen im Bereich "Human Centered Cyber Phy-sical Production and Assembly Systems" nicht nur für Großunternehmen, sondern auch für KMUs einen wesentlichen Beitrag leisten. Die Stiftungsprofessur wird mit einem weiteren, eigenständigen Forschungsbereich am Institut für Managementwissenschaften (IMW) der TU Wien etabliert und innerhalb eines multidisziplinären instituts- und fakultätsübergreifenden Netzwerks an der TU Wien verankert, das auf das Forschungsfeld "Cyber Physical Produc-tion Systems“ (CPPS) fokussiert ist.
Abstract
The endowed professorship will be addressing the research field “Human Centered Cyber Physical Production and Assembly Systems”, concentrating R&D of the interoperability be-tween “technology”, “human” and “organization”. A close cooperation with (co-financing) companies for a close-to-market industrial application is self-evident. Research and teaching activities within this synergy of production factors are unique in Austria and in the CEE region. Considering especially the associated risk of demography-related decline in economic growth, it has to be invested into human-oriented, age- and performance-based working sys-tem design using advanced information- and communication technologies – both from a re-search and an industrial point of view. The proposed endowed professorship aims at gener-ating innovative and mind-breaking solutions for “Human Centered Cyber Physical Produc-tion and Assembly Systems” for large companies as well as SMEs; furthermore at providing high-quality research and teaching activities and deepening cooperation between science and industry. The endowed professorship and its research group will be established as a new research department at the Institute of Management Science (IMW) of TU Wien and will be embedded into a multidisciplinary network of different institutes and faculties, who are connected via the research field “Cyber Physical Production Systems (Industry 4.0)”.
