Projektbeschreibung
Abstract
YKK_Inno aims to sustainably embed diversity, equity and inclusion within the company culture, collaboration practices and leadership structures. As an internationally operating company, YKK is confronted on a daily basis with diverse cultural backgrounds, perspectives and working realities. The project initiated by YKK Austria GmbH consciously embraces this diversity and uses it as the foundation for developing a sustainable diversity management approach that ensures the continuous advancement of measures and initiatives for inclusive, respectful and future-oriented collaboration.
The project focuses on awareness building, organisational and personnel development, as well as the long-term structural integration of Diversity, Equity and Inclusion (DEI) topics. Together with the management team, technical leaders and all employees working in technology and innovation, existing communication and collaboration processes will be reflected upon and further developed. The objective is to strengthen psychological safety, make different perspectives visible and foster a corporate culture in which female technical employees feel valued, included and supported in their professional development and qualification, regardless of gender, age, cultural background or individual life circumstances.
The project consists of several work packages: the establishment of a structured diversity management framework, awareness and workshop formats for employees and especially technical managers, the further development of inclusive leadership and communication processes, the piloting of a cross-departmental mentoring programme, as well as measures for the long-term internal integration of the project results.
A particular focus lies on practical implementation and sustainable organisational and personnel development. Diversity is not treated as an isolated HR topic, but rather as an essential component of innovation capability, collaboration and the future viability of the company. For this purpose, guidelines, feedback and exchange formats, as well as initial evaluation and impact mechanisms, will be developed and continuously refined over time — always with a focus on gender-balanced areas of responsibility.
The project therefore contributes to promoting equal opportunities, the advanced qualification and professional development of women, respectful collaboration and a modern leadership culture. At the same time, it strengthens employee retention, cross-functional knowledge exchange and YKK’s attractiveness as an employer in an increasingly dynamic and international working environment.
In the long term, the project aims to make diversity visible as a lived component of the corporate culture and to establish sustainable structures for an inclusive and resilient organisation.
