Ausbau der österreichischen Community zum Thema „Advanced and Innovative Materials“

Projektbeschreibung

In Europa und somit auch in Österreich stehen viele Organisationen und öffentliche Einrichtungen, die im Umfeld von Advanced Materials aktiv sind, vor der Herausforderung, gleichzeitig verschiedenste Anforderungen zu bewältigen. Dafür benötigt es Multidisziplinarität, die den begrenzt verfügbaren Ressourcen, dem Fachkräftemangel sowie zunehmendem Innovationsdruck entgegenwirkt. Vor diesem Hintergrund ergibt sich eine klare Notwendigkeit, zur Bildung und Stärkung von Kooperationen und Netzwerken. Das vorliegende Projekt greift diese Ausgangssituation auf, baut auf den Vorarbeiten in ATIMA auf und zielt noch stärker darauf ab, konkrete Maßnahmen zu erarbeiten, die einen nachhaltigen Mehrwert schaffen und die Wettbewerbsfähigkeit der Akteure der AdMa-Community in Österreich langfristig stärken.

Durch die Aktivitäten im Bereich der Kommunikation und Information (web-Sichtbarkeit, LinkedIn, etc.), liefert ATIMA2 (z.B. dem BMIMI oder der Europ.Komm.) Beiträge zu Strategieentwicklungen, Vernetzungstätigkeiten im Rahmen von z.B.: Workshops und Konferenzen, bei denen Nachwuchsforscher eingebunden werden, und zeigt die österreichische Innovationsstärke auf internationaler Ebene (z.B.: auf internationalen Messen, Konferenzen). Für die Mobilisierung von relevanten Akteuren ist es erforderlich, Zielgruppen-spezifisch attraktive Angebote zu schaffen. Daher erzielt ATIMA2 durch Quervernetzung (AP2), wie auch spezifische Adressierung der jeweiligen Interessen (AP3) großen Nutzen und wertvolle Wirkung auf die AdMa Forschungs- und Innovationslandschaft in Österreich – aber auch als Anbindung an internationale Aktivitäten (z.B.: Funktion als österreichische Anlaufstelle des europäischen Vereins IAM-I, der die europäische AdMa-Partnerschaft IAM4EU koordiniert).

Abstract

In Europe, and therefore also in Austria, many organizations and public institutions active in the field of advanced materials face the challenge of simultaneously managing a wide range of demands. This requires a multidisciplinary approach to counteract limited resources, a shortage of skilled workers, and increasing pressure to innovate. Against this backdrop, there is a clear need to establish and strengthen collaborations and communities. This project addresses this situation, builds on the preliminary work done in ATIMA, and aims even more strongly to develop concrete measures that create sustainable added value and strengthen the long-term competitiveness of actors in the Austrian advanced materials community.

Through its communication and information activities (web visibility, LinkedIn, etc.), ATIMA2 contributes to strategy development (e.g., for the Austrian Federal Ministry of the Interior, Building and Community (BMIMI) or the European Commission), facilitates networking activities such as workshops and conferences involving early-career researchers, and showcases Austria's innovative strength internationally (e.g., at international trade fairs and conferences). Mobilizing relevant stakeholders requires creating attractive offerings tailored to specific target groups. Therefore, ATIMA2 achieves significant benefits and valuable impact on the AdMa research and innovation landscape in Austria through cross-networking (AP2) and specifically addressing individual interests (AP3) – as well as through its connection to international activities (e.g., serving as the Austrian contact point for the European association IAM-I, which coordinates the European AdMa partnership IAM4EU).
