Innovative Geschäftsmodelle und KI-unterstützte Planungstools zur Etablierung multifunktionaler Mobility Hubs

Projektbeschreibung

Mobilität ist ein zentraler Ansatzpunkt zur Erreichung der Klimaneutralität. Mobility Hubs können hierbei positive Effekte erzielen, vorausgesetzt, sie werden von Nutzer*innen ausreichend frequentiert. Trotz zahlreicher Forschungsprojekte und Pilotstudien gibt es aber derzeit kaum dauerhaft etablierte Umsetzungen, besonders für mittelgroße Städte. Es fehlt an einer integrierten und wirtschaftlichen Betrachtung von Mobility Hubs, die neben Mobilitätsfunktionen auch soziale und wirtschaftliche Aspekte berücksichtigen. Das Projekt ADDHUB zielt darauf ab, tragfähige Geschäfts- und Betreibermodelle für multifunktionale Mobility Hubs insbesondere für mittelgroße Städten zu entwickeln, wobei neben Personenmobilität auch das Thema Güterverkehr sowie weitere Funktionen der Daseinsvorsorge kombiniert werden. Diese Modelle sollen die langfristige Umsetzung solcher Hubs sicherstellen und somit zur Reduktion der negativen Verkehrsauswirkungen auf das Klima beitragen. Genau diese Aspekte fehlen in ihrer Kombination bisher in vielen Projekten. ADDHUB strebt die Entwicklung eines KI-Bewertungs- und Empfehlungstool an, das die Größe und Auswahl geeigneter Zusatzfunktionen sowie Betreiber- und Finanzierungsmodelle für Mobility Hubs in kombinierter Betrachtung erleichtert. Das Tool soll Investitions- und laufende Kosten sowie erzielbare Einnahmen durch Zusatzfunktionen ebenso berücksichtigen wie Dimensionierungsanforderungen und Funktionskombinationen. Der auf dem Datenökosystem beruhende Ansatz ermöglicht eine einfache Anwendung auch auf Großstädte und ländliche Regionen, wodurch die Transferierbarkeit und Skalierbarkeit gewährleistet ist. Übergeordnetes Ziel von ADDHUB ist es, die nachhaltige Planung und Umsetzung von Mobility Hubs zu fördern, um einen signifikanten Beitrag zur Erreichung der Klimaziele im Verkehrsbereich zu leisten und den öffentlichen Verkehr attraktiver zu gestalten.

Abstract

Mobility is a key approach to achieving climate neutrality. Mobility hubs can have positive effects, provided they are sufficiently frequented by users. Despite numerous research projects and pilot studies, there are currently few permanently established implementations, especially for medium-sized cities. There is a lack of an integrated and economic consideration of mobility hubs that takes into account not only mobility functions but also social and economic aspects. The ADDHUB project aims to develop viable business and operating models for multifunctional mobility hubs especially for medium-sized cities, combining passenger mobility with freight transport and other public services. These models are intended to ensure the long-term implementation of such hubs and thus contribute to reducing the negative traffic impacts on the climate. These aspects, in their combination, are currently missing in many projects. ADDHUB aims to develop an AI evaluation and recommendation tool that facilitates the sizing and selection of suitable additional functions as well as operator and financing models for mobility hubs in a combined consideration. The tool will take into account investment and operating costs as well as achievable revenues from additional functions, as well as sizing requirements and function combinations. The data ecosystem-based approach enables easy application to large cities and rural areas, ensuring transferability and scalability. The overarching goal of ADDHUB is to promote the sustainable planning and implementation of mobility hubs to make a significant contribution to achieving climate goals in the transport sector and to make public transport more attractive.
