Robotik, KI & MR in der Industrie: Bewältigung von Automatisierungskonflikten in einer digitalisierten Arbeitswelt

Projektbeschreibung

Die fortschreitende Integration digitaler Technologien in Produktionsprozesse verändert zunehmend die Arbeitsorganisation und Arbeitsbedingungen in der Industrie. Technologien wie Mixed Reality, Roboter oder Künstliche Intelligenz kommen zum Einsatz, um menschliche Arbeit zu ersetzen oder zu unterstützen. Diese technologischen Entwicklungen bieten sowohl Chancen als auch Herausforderungen.
Besonders gefragt sind neue Ansätze in der Aus- und Weiterbildung, vor allem im Bereich digitaler Kompetenzen und AI Literacy, also dem Verständnis und Umgang mit Künstlicher Intelligenz. Zudem verändern sich die Berufs und Rollenbilder von Arbeitnehmer:innen, was neue Ansätze im Human Resources Management erfordert. Gleichzeitig ist ein bewusster und sinnvoller Einsatz dieser Technologien notwendig, um ihre erfolgreiche Implementierung und eine menschengerechte Nutzung zu gewährleisten. Zudem stellen Fragen der Sicherheit, Zuverlässigkeit und Resilienz der neuen Technologien zentrale Herausforderungen dar. Hierzu zählen besonders die Sicherheit von Robotersystemen, sowie notwendige Anpassungen von rechtlichen Rahmenbedingungen, Normen und Standards. Auch die Unternehmensorganisation und das Management müssen sich diesen neuen Gegebenheiten anpassen, wobei die sozialen und kulturellen Dimensionen industrieller Innovation zunehmend an Bedeutung gewinnen.
Vor diesem Hintergrund ist es wichtig, Strategien für Österreich zu entwickeln, um die durch Technologien wie Mixed Reality, Robotik und Künstliche Intelligenz verursachten Veränderungen in der Arbeitswelt zu begegnen. Das Projekt RIAkt zielt darauf ab, Handlungsempfehlungen für politische, institutionelle und betriebliche Entscheidungsträger:innen zu entwickeln. Diese Empfehlungen basieren auf gründlicher Recherche und Co-Creation Workshops mit relevanten Stakeholder:innen. Ziel ist es, die Potenziale neuer Technologien in der Industrie verantwortungsvoll und im Einklang mit den Bedürfnissen der Arbeitnehmer:innen zu nutzen. Dies soll sicherstellen, dass die digitale Transformation nicht nur technologische Fortschritte bringt, sondern auch eine Verbesserung der Arbeitsbedingungen und -qualität im Fokus hat.

Abstract

The ongoing integration of digital technologies into production processes is increasingly transforming work organization and conditions in the industrial sector. Technologies such as mixed reality, robotics, and artificial intelligence are being deployed to replace or support human labor. These technological developments present both opportunities and challenges.
New approaches to education and training are particularly in demand, especially in the areas of digital skills and AI literacy—understanding and managing artificial intelligence. Additionally, job roles and employee profiles are changing, requiring new strategies in human resources management. At the same time, a conscious and purposeful use of these technologies is essential to ensure their successful implementation and human-centered utilization. Issues of safety, reliability, and resilience also pose major challenges. This includes the safety of robotic systems and the need for adjustments to legal frameworks, norms, and standards. Furthermore, corporate organization and management must adapt to these new realities, with the social and cultural dimensions of industrial innovation gaining increasing importance.
In this context, it is crucial to develop strategies for Austria to address the changes in the workplace brought about by technologies like mixed reality, robotics, and artificial intelligence. The RIAkt project aims to develop actionable recommendations for political, institutional, and corporate decision-makers. These recommendations are based on thorough analysis and co-creation workshops with relevant stakeholders. The goal is to harness the potential of new technologies in the industrial sector responsibly and in alignment with the needs of employees. This will ensure that digital transformation not only advances technological progress but also focuses on improving working conditions and quality.
