Projektbeschreibung
In den letzten Jahren hat sich gezeigt, dass es einen Bedarf gibt, bereits in der frühen Phase von Innovations- und Produktentwicklungsprozessen Konzepte wie Safe-and-Sustainable-by-Design (SSbD) umzusetzen, um die Ziele der Chemikalienstrategie für Nachhaltigkeit im Rahmen des Europäischen Green Deals zu erreichen. Dabei sollen auch soziale und wirtschaftliche Auswirkungen berücksichtigt werden. Der vorliegende Projektantrag zu PHASE5 zielt darauf ab, eine Handlungsempfehlung für die verbesserte Umsetzung und Bewertung von SSbD, insbesondere der sozio-ökonomischen Bewertung (Step 5), im Kontext von Advanced Materials in der Pharmaindustrie, zu entwickeln und Österreich in die zentrale Diskussion einzubringen.
Abstract
In recent years, it has become clear that there is a need to implement concepts such as Safe and Sustainable by Design (SSbD) in the early stages of innovation and product development processes in order to achieve the goals of the Chemicals Strategy for Sustainability as part of the European Green Deal. Social and economic impacts should also be taken into account. The present project proposal for PHASE5 aims to develop a recommendation for action for the improved implementation and evaluation of SSbD, in particular the socio-economic evaluation (Step 5), in the context of advanced materials in the pharmaceutical industry and to bring Austria into the central discussion.
