Projektbeschreibung
Sense & Avoid (S&A) ist ein entscheidender Aspekt für die sichere Integration von Drohnen in den Luftraum. Obwohl S&A bereits seit Jahrzehnten ein fester Bestandteil in der bemannten Luftfahrt ist, fehlen für die unbemannte Luftfahrt eindeutige Definitionen, Standards, Gesetze und Verfahren. Das Hauptziel des Projekts ist ein gemeinsames Verständnis für technische und regulative Anforderungen zu schaffen und so die Eckpfeiler für die Entwicklung neuer oder die Weiterentwicklung von bestehenden S&A Systemen zu setzen. Wichtiger Bestandteil sind dabei die aus Stakeholdern ermittelten Beispiele aus der Praxis. Dadurch kann das Projekt zusätzliche Anforderungen ermitteln, den Innovationsgehalt erhöhen und über den Stand der Technik hinausreichen. Ergebnis des Projekts soll eine Roadmap sein, die von Technologieunternehmen, behördlichen Einrichtungen, Anwendern, u.v.m. verwendet werden kann und als Grundlage für weitere Forschungs- und Innovationsarbeiten dienen soll.
Abstract
Sense & Avoid (S&A) is a crucial aspect for the safe integration of drones into the airspace. Although S&A has been an integral part of manned aviation for decades, unmanned aviation lacks clear definitions, standards, laws and procedures. The main goal of the project is to create a common understanding of technical and regulatory requirements and thus set the cornerstones for the development of new or further development of existing S&A systems. An important part of this are practical examples identified from stakeholders. This allows the project to identify additional requirements, increase the innovative content and go beyond the state of the art. The result of the project is intended to be a roadmap that will be used by technology companies, competent authorities, users, etc. and will serve as a foundation for further research and innovation activities.
