Projektbeschreibung

Der DIH West realisiert das Konzept eines geographisch nahen Vertrauenspartners für KMU, der in Fragen der digitalen Transformation unterstützend tätig ist und KMU informierte Entscheidungen für das Setzen weiterer Maßnahmen ermöglicht. Die Mission des DIH West ist der leichte Zugang für KMU in Westösterreich zum Know-how und der Infrastruktur von Hochschulen und Forschungseinrichtungen und Förderung der Vernetzung. Dementsprechend enthält das Konsortium des DIH West alle relevanten Intermediäre, sowie alle Hochschulen und wissenschaftlichen Einrichtungen mit Schwerpunkt im Bereich Digitalisierung in den Ländern Salzburg, Tirol und Vorarlberg. Dies umfasst die Standortagenturen in den drei Ländern, drei assoziierte Intermediäre, sowie sieben Hochschulen und eine Forschungseinrichtung. Über diese Kooperationen hinaus soll durch die Zusammenarbeit aller nationalen EDIHs und DIHs KMU der Zugang zum Wissen dieses Netzwerks geebnet werden.

Das Serviceangebot des DIH West nutzt ein Pyramidenmodell, das die Awarenessbildung und den niederschwelligen Einstieg in Themen der Digitalisierung um themen- und branchenspezifische Angebote und Vernetzungen ergänzt. Die Basis bilden Informationsangebote für eine große Bandbreite von KMU. Dies beinhaltet online- und Präsenzveranstaltungen, Webauftritt, Präsenz in sozialen Medien, sowie direkte Kontaktaufnahmen und Beratungsgespräche. Kurse der Weiterbildung sollen die Teilnehmer:innen dazu befähigen, das Potential von Methoden und Technologien kennenzulernen, so dass im Unternehmen weitere Schritte gesetzt werden können. Im Bereich Digitale Innovation adressiert der DIH West spezifische Zielgruppen und führt dabei Unternehmen und Expert:innen in Themenbereichen mit hohem Innovationscharakter zusammen.

Die inhaltlichen Schwerpunkte des DIH West bieten technologiebezogene, transformationsbezogene und branchenbezogene Zugänge für KMU. Im Bereich Data Engineering und Machine Learning dienen die Angebote dazu, das Potential von Datennutzung und maschinellem Lernen für das eigene Unternehmen bewerten zu können und Know-How aufzubauen. Die Kurse im Bereich Informationssicherheit schaffen Awareness für notwendige Maßnahmen und erleichtern den Einstieg. Der transformationsorientierte Zugang des DIH West wendet sich an Leitungskräfte von KMU und unterstützt sie dabei, digitale Transformationsvorhaben systematisch und damit risikoarm durchzuführen, unter Verwendung von Methoden aus IT-Management, Entrepreneurship und Software Engineering. Neben den mehrheitlich branchenoffenen Services bietet der DIH West KMU aus Produktion und Bauwirtschaft einen branchenspezifischen Zugang. Damit werden umsatzstarke und innovationskritische Branchen in Westösterreich adressiert.

Abstract

DIH West implements the concept of a geographically close trusted partner for SMEs that provides support in matters of digital transformation and enables SMEs to make informed decisions for taking further action. The mission of DIH West is to provide SMEs in Western Austria with easy access to the know-how and infrastructure of universities and research institutions and to promote networking. Accordingly, the DIH West consortium includes all relevant intermediaries, as well as all universities and scientific institutions with a focus on digitisation in the provinces Salzburg, Tyrol and Vorarlberg. This includes the three location agencies, three associated intermediaries, as well as seven universities and one research institution. Additionally, the cooperation of all national EDIHs and DIHs is intended to pave the way for SMEs to access the knowledge of this extensive network.

The services offered by DIH West use a pyramid model that supplements awareness-raising and low-threshold access to methods and technologies of digital transformation with topic- and industry-specific offers and networking. The basis is formed by information services for a wide range of SMEs. This includes online and face-to-face events, web presence, presence in social media, as well as direct contact and consultation meetings. Courses in further education are designed to enable participants to learn about the potential of methods and technologies so that further steps can be taken in the company. In the area of digital innovation, the DIH West addresses specific target groups and brings together companies and experts in topics with a high innovation character.

The DIH West's focal areas offer technology-related, transformation-related and sector-related access for SMEs. In the area of data engineering and machine learning, the offers serve to evaluate the potential of data use and machine learning in the own company and to build up know-how. The courses in the area of information security create awareness of the necessary measures and make it easier to get started. The transformation-oriented approach of the DIH West is aimed at managers of SMEs and supports them in conducting digital transformation projects systematically and thus with low risk, using methods from IT management, entrepreneurship and software engineering. The majority of services are aimed at SME in all industries. In addition, DIH West addresses SMEs in manufacturing and the construction, offering industry-specific digitization expertise. This covers high-turnover and innovation-critical sectors in Western Austria.
