IEA ISGAN Kommunikationsarbeitsgruppe 2023-25

Projektbeschreibung

ISGAN ist das Internationale Smart Grid Action Network, ein Technology Cooperation Program der Internationalen Energie Agentur (IEA) und eine Initiative des Clean Energy Ministerials (CEM). Der Hauptfokus von ISGAN ist es Wissen und Erfahrungen über intelligente Stromsysteme, durch den Austausch von Erfahrungen und Ergebnissen und durch den internationalen Vergleich von Vorgehensweisen weiterzuentwickeln. Dadurch werden sichere saubere und effiziente Energiesysteme gefördert. Digitalisierung ist eine Schlüsseltechnologie, um diese Ziele zu erreichen. ISGAN bemüht sich aufstrebende Industrien bei ihrer Entwicklung von intelligenten Stromsystemen zu unterstützen und die Integration erneuerbarer Energieträger voranzutreiben. Es wird dadurch ein Beitrag geleistet, die nationalen und Europäischen NET-ZERO-Ziele zu erreichen. ISGAN sieht sich dabei entlang des Entwicklungspfades bei Pilot und ersten Anwendungsprojekten in Feld.
In einem Umfeld, in dem immer mehr internationale Initiativen und Organisation entstehen, die sich mit ähnlichen und benachbarten Themenbereichen befassen, treibt ISGAN die Zusammenarbeit mit solchen Organisationen und Initiativen aktiv voran und bemüht sich Fragen gemeinsam zu bearbeiten statt parallel.
Die Arbeit von ISGAN ist in sechs stehende Arbeitsgruppen (Working Groups) unterteilt, wobei das gegenständliche Projekt den österreichischen Beitrag zur Kommunikationsarbeitsgruppe (Communication Working Group (CWG)) betrifft.
Die folgenden Tasks wurden für die Kommunikationsarbeitsgruppe definiert:
1. Synthese von Ergebnissen für Stakeholder (Politikempfehlungen)
2. Nationale Prioritäten und bewährte Vorgehensweisen (Umfrage über Treiber und Technologien für Smart Grids, Fallsammlungen)
3. Strukturierter Wissensaustausch (Wissensaustausch Projekte nach der Knowledge Transfer Project (KTP) Methode)
4. Virtuelles Lernen (Webinare)
5. Zusammenarbeit mit anderen Organisationen
6. Public Media (Website, Social Media, Presseaussendungen)
Österreich beteiligt sich bei den Tasks 2 und 3.
Wesentliches Ziel der Beteiligung Österreichs an der Kommunikationsarbeitsgruppe ist der weitere Ausbau der Positionierung der österreichischen Projektvorhaben und das Einbringen internationaler Trends und Erkenntnisse in die österreichische Forschungs- und Entwicklungsstrategie und nationale Forschungs- und Entwicklungsprojekte.
Die unterschiedlichen Informationsproduckte, die innerhalb der beiden Tasks erzeugt werden (Fallsammlungen, Diskussionspapiere, Politikempfehlungen, Videos), dienen einerseits der Beratung politischer EntscheidungsträgerInnen und Fördergebern als auch der Forschung. An die Industrie werden die Ergebnisse über die Technologieplattform Smart Grids Austria kommuniziert.

Abstract

ISGAN is the International Smart Grid Action Network, a Technology Cooperation Program of the International Energy Agency (IEA) and an initiative of the Clean Energy Ministerial (CEM). The main focus of ISGAN is to advance knowledge and experience on smart electricity systems through the exchange of experiences and results and the international comparison of approaches. This will promote safe clean and efficient energy systems. Digitalisation is a key technology to achieve these goals. ISGAN also strives to support emerging industries in their development of smart power systems and to promote the integration of renewable energy sources. The aim is to contribute to the achievement of the national and European NET-ZERO targets. ISGAN sees itself along the development path in pilot and first application projects in the field.
In an environment where more and more international initiatives and organisations are emerging that deal with similar and related issues, ISGAN actively promotes cooperation with such organisations and initiatives and strives to work on issues together rather than in parallel.
ISGAN's work is divided into six standing Working Groups, whereby the project at hand concerns the Austrian contribution to the Communication Working Group (CWG).
The following tasks have been defined for the communication working group:
1. synthesis of results for stakeholders (policy recommendations).
2. national priorities and best practices (survey on drivers and technologies for smart grids, case studies)
3. structured knowledge exchange (knowledge exchange projects according to the Knowledge Transfer Project (KTP) method)
4. virtual learning (webinars)
5. cooperation with other organisations
6. public media (website, social media, press releases)
Austria participates in Tasks 2 and 3.
The main objective of Austria's participation in the communication working group is to further expand the positioning of Austrian project proposals and to introduce international trends and findings into the Austrian research and development strategy and national research and development projects.
The various information products generated within the two tasks (case studies, discussion papers, policy recommendations, videos) serve to advise policy makers and funding bodies as well as research. The results are communicated to industry via the Smart Grids Austria technology platform.
