Projektbeschreibung
Entscheidungen zur Förderung, Finanzierung oder dem Kauf neuer innovativer Konzepte und Anwendungen hängen maßgeblich von Einschätzungen ihrer Reife ab. Aufgrund der hohen Komplexität und Neuartigkeit von sich in Entwicklung befindenden Technologien und Systemen ist es jedoch besonders für Außenstehende häufig schwierig, den Reifegrad beurteilen zu können. Mehrstufige Skalen zur Einordnung der Reife ("readiness scales") von Innovationen schaffen in diesem Kontext eine gemeinsame Sprache, mit der der Entwicklungsstand von Innovationen kommuniziert und ggf. auch verglichen werden kann. Dieses Projekt entwickelt ein vergleichbares Modell, das den Anforderungen des FTI-Schwerpunkts "klimaneutrale Stadt" gerecht wird und zur Beurteilung des Reifegrads von Innovationen für urbane Systeme auf der einen Seite und des Reifegrads von urbanen Systeminnovationen auf der anderen Seite, herangezogen werden kann. Die Entwicklung erfolgt in enger Abstimmung mit dem Managementteam des FTI-Schwerpunkts und berücksichtigt die Operationalisierung für unterschiedliche Anwendungsfelder.
Abstract
Decisions to fund, finance or purchase innovative concepts and applications heavily depend on assessments of their maturity. However, due to the high complexity and novelty of technologies and systems under development, it is often difficult, especially for outsiders, to assess the maturity. In this context, multi-level scales for classifying the maturity of innovations ("readiness scales") create a common language with which the development status of innovations can be communicated and compared. This project develops a comparable model that meets the requirements of the RTI priority area "climate-neutral city" and can be used to assess the maturity of innovations for urban systems on the one hand and the maturity of urban systeminnovations on the other. The development is carried out in close coordination with the management team of the priority area and takes into account the operationalisation for different fields of application.
