Projektbeschreibung

Abstract

The IA project proposal Intelligent Reliability 4.0 (iRel4.0) has the ultimate goal of improving reliability for electronic components and systems (ECS) by reducing failure rates along the entire value chain. (from development to production to application to the wear out phase of the components).
In many small individual steps, a quality level that is acceptable for current ECS applications has been achieved to date. However, for future applications, e.g. in the field of mobility with considerably stricter requirements, this level is far from sufficient. The time has come to take a groundbreaking step towards zero error culture by means of digitization approaches.
For this reason, a European project was initiated with iRel40 in which 79 partners from 14 countries accept this challenge and together take a significant step towards increased reliability at ECS. and thus also to maintain the high level of customer satisfaction
As a baseline for assessing progress against the actual state, iRel40 refers to the currently valid automotive standard AEC Q 100, which currently contains the highest requirements and, as an application field, also reflects the economic relevance for Europe.
Through a fundamental physical understanding of errors (PoF) and the use of artificial intelligence methods, a faster transfer of the development processes into production is supported and the quality level is significantly improved. Manufacturing processes and procedures are further optimized and supported by ML (machine learning) and Big Date analyses to lead to improved quality levels with faster and more comprehensive decisions in production. These initiatives are summarized in the iRel40 project under the term "Quality4.0" and are seen by the industry partners as a necessary and co-decisive contribution to increasing reliability.
Innovative test methods and the extended implementation of sensor-based system controlling will make it possible to identify risk building blocks and systems as well as to implement new maintenance models.
Intelligent Reliability 4.0 will support the entire European industry, our mobility and infrastructure as well as our social transformation into the digital world through more reliable ECS, help to sustainably secure ongoing investments and give this domain a competitive advantage in Europe. This unique project brings together, for the first time ever, world-leading reliability experts and European manufacturing experts to build a sustainable pan-European reliability community.
