Projektbeschreibung

Die Ausgangssituation: Die Gesellschaft durchlebt derzeit einen starken demografischen Wandel. Der Anteil der Menschen über 80 Jahre weitet sich signifikant aus und Studien zufolge möchte der Großteil der ÖsterreicherInnen den Lebensabend in den eigenen 4 Wänden verbringen, wobei gute soziale Kontakte zur Familie, zu Nachbarn und zu Freunden sehr wichtig sind. Die Zeit ist reif - Intelligente und einfache AAL Systeme werden Einzug in unser Leben halten denn bisherige AAL Pilotprojekte haben ergeben, dass Menschen einfach zu nutzende Systeme akzeptieren, die Sicherheit vermitteln und soziale Kontakte fördern. Unsere Herausforderung ist daher die konsequente Simplifizierung der AAL Technologie zur Förderung der Lebensqualität, der sozialen Kontakte und der Gesundheit älterer Menschen. Mit nur einem Klick auf einen bechergroßen Knopf stehen die Familie, Nachbarn, Freiwillige und Mediziner via TV im Bedarfsfall bereit. Darüber hinaus soll durch die Aktivierung der sozialen Netzwerke der Menschen im Alter (Familie, Nachbarn, Freunde, Freiwillige, Vereine) und durch Events im „echten Leben“ die soziale Integration der älteren Menschen gesichert und der Kontakt zwischen Jung & Alt mit einem Mix aus analogen und digitalen Online Volunteering Formaten gefördert werden. Unsere Ziele sind die Entwicklung, die Evaluierung und die Vorbereitung der Markteinführung eines Produkt-, Anwendungs- und Dienstleistungsbündels zur Förderung der Lebensqualität und Gesundheit von Menschen im Alter bzw. zur Unterstützung des sozialen Umfelds der Menschen im Alter. Wir setzen auf bewährte und stabile Technologien und bündeln diese zu einer innovativen und einfach zu bedienenden Lösung mit einem „Social Button“ im Mittelpunkt. Dieser „Social Button“ ist mit einem TV-Gerät verbunden und dadurch die Schnittstelle zwischen den Menschen im Alter und der Familie. Ist keine Person aus der Familie erreichbar, so wird der Call an Freiwillige weitergeleitet. Optional können Menschen im Alter über das System auch eine Verbindung zur digitalen Ordination herstellen und (mit Unterstützung der Familie oder der Freiwilligen) Essen auf Rädern, Therapien und Services bestellen. Über das TV-Gerät werden die Menschen im Alter jedoch primär inspiriert, an Kontakten und Events im „echten Leben“ im regionalen Umfeld teilzunehmen. Module unserer Lösung sind der Social Button, ein (Smart) TV-Gerät, eine digitale Ordination, das Familiennetzwerk youtoo.help zur Organisation der sozialen Kontakte und Events, sowie ein stabiles AAL Sicherheitspaket. Projektpartner sind als Gesundheitspartner das Ordensklinikum Linz, als Kompetenzzentrum für freiwilliges Engagement das ULF (Unabhängiges LandesFreiwilligenzentrum), als Koordinationsplattform das StartUP youtoo.help, als Systementwickler die Firma Netural, als Forschungspartner und Organisator der „EvAALluierung die Firma LIFEtool gemeinnützige GmbH, als kompetenter Partner im Bereich IPTV und digitale Ordination die Ocilion GmbH und als Vermarktungspartner die Linz Strom Gas Wärme GmbH. Die Vision des Vorhabens ist die Förderung größtmöglicher Lebensautonomie, Gesundheit und Wohlbefinden im Alter, sowie die Sicherung sozialer Kontakte und die Förderung freiwilliger Hilfe.

Abstract

The initial situation: Currently the society is undergoing a strong demographic change. The proportion of people aged older than 80 years is expanding significantly and studies suggest that the majority of Austrians would rather spend their remaining years of life in their own homes with a strong social connection to family members, neighbours and friends. The time is now – Intelligent and simple AAL-systems have already found their way into our lives and previous AAL pilot projects have shown that people prefer easy-to-use systems providing security and promoting social contacts. Our challenge is therefore the consistent simplification of AAL-technology to promote the quality of life, social contacts and the health of the elderly. With just one click on a small button the family, neighbours, volunteers and doctors are available when needed via TV. In addition, by activating the social networks of the elderly (family, neighbours, friends, volunteers, associations) and events in “real life” the social integration of older people should be ensured and the contact between the old and the young people can be promoted due to a mixture of analogue and digital online volunteering formats.
Our goal is developing, evaluating and preparing the launch of a product-, application- and service-package to promote the quality of life and health of the elderly and accordingly to support the social environment of the people. We rely on proven and stable technologies and create a bundle of an innovative and easy-to-use solution with a “social button” in the centre. This “social button” is connected to a TV set and thus the interface between the elderly and the family. If a family member is not available, the call will be forwarded to volunteers. Optionally, the elderly can also consult a doctor via the digital ordination and moreover they can book (with the support of family, friends, volunteers) meals on wheels and therapies as well as other services via the system. However, the TV device primarily inspires people of old age to socialize and to take part in events in “real life” in the regional surroundings. Our solution consists of the “social button”, a TV set, a digital ambulance, the family network youtoo.help for the organization of social contacts and events, as well as a stable AAL security package with established sensors form a renowned manufacturer. Project partners are as a health partner the “Ordensklinikum Linz GmbH”, as a competence center for voluntary commitment the “ULF” (Unabhängiges LandesFreiwilligenzentrum), as coordination platform the startup “youtoo.help”, as system developer the company “Netural GmbH”, as research partner and organizer of the evaluation the company “LIFEtool gemeinnützige GmbH”, as competent partner in the IPTV division and digital ordination “Ocilion GmbH” and as marketing partner the “LINZ STROM GAS WÄRME GmbH”. The vision of the project is the promotion of life autonomy, health and well-being in old age, as well as the securing of social contacts and the promotion of voluntary help.
