Projektbeschreibung

Abstract

DAPAS addresses the need for a scaled distribution of AAL packages by bringing together the outcomes of two successful AAL projects and combining them with a product on the road to market to form suitable AAL support packages for primary end-users and their carers that can be distributed in a larger scale.

The thematic focus of Emma, DALIA and RelaxedCare is complementary, thus the combination of features creates an added value for users. Features selected from DALIA focus on everyday-support and safety, the RelaxedCare assets focus on easy communication with carers and the user's wellbeing status. Emma provides the pluggable framework for integration, including administrative parts (user management, profile, billing,...) and complementing the features with Smart Home integration by adding an integration layer with of "off-the-shelf" sensors that can be used for features in the areas of everyday-support, home safety as well as wellbeing detection.

The goals of DAPAS are 1.) to make extensive use of results from DALIA and RelaxedCare, and combine them to differentiated service packages that can be distributed, 2.) build up the organizational and technical structures and framework around the packages that allow for a distribution and plug & play installation in a bigger scale and 3.) evaluate the distribution process and impact of the packages on end-users in accompanying studies in three countries - Portugal, Luxembourg and Austria - with varying culture and languages. By involving 120 participants the qualitative and quantitative studies measure a) the (cost-)effectiveness and acceptance of the distribution process, b) the acceptance of the different service packages from a market perspective, and c) the effect of service packages on the daily life of the users and their relatives from a user perspective.

The inclusion of all relevant stakeholders is ensured by the well balanced consortium of DAPAS, which includes research, industry and end-users in all work packages.
