Projektbeschreibung
Ziel des Projekts ist die Entwicklung und Validierung eines Phantoms zur Bestimmung der Bildgüte von Tomosyntheseaufnahmen in der Mammographie (FFDM-3D). Das Phantom soll sowohl für die Akzeptanzprüfung als auch für routinemäßige Konstanzprüfungen einsetzbar sein. Es ermöglicht einerseits eine Überprüfung definierter Grenzwerteparameter als auch andererseits die Optimierung der Bildgüte mit Hinblick auf die Dosis. Des Weiteren wird eine automatische Auswertesoftware basierend auf eine 'channelized hotelling observer model' entwickelt, mit der diese Aufgaben durch Analyse von Phantomaufnahmen effizient erfüllt werden können.
Abstract
The aim of this project is the development and validation of a phantom for evaluation of image quality of breast tomosynthesis devices. The phantom can be used for acceptance tests as well as for constancy tests. On the one hand it can be used to check thomosynthesis systems for compliance of the limits given by standards and on the other hand to optimize the system parameters with respect to dose-image quality performance. Furthermore, we develop a software based on a channelized hotelling observer model for fully automatic evaluation of the phantom images.
