Projektbeschreibung
Annex 7 beschäftigt sich mit institutionellen und sozio-technischen Fragestellungen im Zusammenhang mit der Transition des Energiesystems. Das Projekt hat zum Ziel, internationale Erfahrungen und interdisziplinäre Forschungsaktivitäten zu Smart Grids zu bündeln, aufzubereiten und für nationale und internationale Policy Maker und andere Stakeholder nutzbar zu machen. Dabei sollen Beiträge zu folgenden Tasks bereitgestellt werden:
•Task 1 – Transitionsprozess und Pfade (Smart Grid als sozio-technisches System)
•Task 2 – Smart Reflexive Governance (Orchestrierung von institutionellem Wandel)
•Task 3 – Smart Grids Transition und Institutionalisierung (Marktbildung und Systemnutzer)
Die Aktivitäten beinhalten sozial-, wirtschafts- und geisteswissenschaftliche Forschung zu institutionellen Rahmenbedingungen der Transition, insbesondere zu Governance-Fragen sowie die Entwicklung von Prozessen zur breiten Partizipation relevanter gesellschaftlicher Gruppen am Smart Grids Transitionsprozess.
Die Informationen werden in Form von Policy Briefs für EntscheidungsträgerInnen im Bereich der Energie(technologie)politik formuliert und durch geeignete Vernetzungsaktivitäten zur Dissemination der Ergebnisse (zB. über die LinkedIn Discussion Group – Smart Grid Transition) national sowie auf Annexebene verbreitet.
Das Projekt umfasst die Koordination des Annex als Operating Agent (Schwerpunkt auf Netzwerkerweiterung, Ausarbeitung von Konzepten zur strukturierten Einbeziehung der relevanten Akteursgruppen sowie Weiterentwicklung des Arbeitsplans), Beiträge zu Task 1 bis 3, sowie die Leitung des Task 2.
Abstract
Annex 7 deals with institutional and socio-technical topics in the context of the transition of energy systems worldwide. The project aims at making available international experience and interdisciplinary research on institutional change related to smart grids for dissemination to policymakers and stakeholders. The Austrian contribution is related to the following tasks:
•Task 1 – Transition processes and pathways (Smart Grids as socio-technical systems)
•Task 2 – Smart Reflexive Governance (Orchestration of institutional change)
•Task 3 – Smart Grid Transitions and Institutionalizations (market formations and system users)
Activities include SSH-research on the institutional framework conditions of the transition. The focus lays on governance challenges and the development of participatory processes involving all relevant actor groups in the course of the transition process towards smarter grids.
Information will be provided in form of Annex 7 Policy Briefs aiming at national and international decision makers in the field of energy and innovation policies, as well as through appropriate networking activities and means of dissemination such as the LinkedIn Discussion Group – Smart Grid Transition and Webinars.
The project work encompasses the role of Operating Agent to coordination of the Annex, contributions to the above mentioned Tasks 1-3, as well as the lead of Task 2.
