Projektbeschreibung
In diesem Projekt soll das Empfangsverhalten der elektrischen Antennen des RPWI (Radio and Plasma Wave Investigation) Instruments der Raumsonde JUICE (Jupiter Icy Moons Explorer) durch numerische Computersimulationen berechnet werden. In der gegenwärtige Definitionsphase ist die Art und Weise der Anbringung der 3 Antennen an der Raumsonde noch nicht genau festgelegt. Die Antennen-konfiguration muß optimiert werden um einen maximalen wissenschaftlichen Nutzen durch hochqualitative Daten sicherzustellen.
Abstract
In this project we suggest performing numerical computer simulations to study the reception properties of the electric antennas of the RPWI (Radio and Plasma Wave Investigation) instrument on board the future JUICE (Jupiter Icy Moons Explorer) mission. In the current definition phase the configuration of the 3 electric antennas are not yet fixed and need to be optimized to yield a maximum scientific return with high quality data.
